A bottom-up think & do tank, the R&D unit of Ibu Cerdas Berdaya

Most traditional think tanks look at policy from a top-down, purely academic lens. They often struggle to understand how macro-policies actually play out at the household level.

Since 2018, through Buibu Baca Buku Book Club, Ibu Cerdas Berdaya has been working with and serving women especially mothers, empowering them with literacy, critical thinking, and sense of community. With programs like Climate Literacy for Mothers, Politics and Policy Literacy for Mothers, we have the potential to bridge the gap and change the dynamic. We are able to turn grassroots household realities into actionable policy insights, and translate complex top-down policy back into accessible community action.

What we can help you with

Community Participation-Based Research

We swap sterile surveys for cozy, trusted spaces. By observing interactions during book discussions or designing gamified personality quizzes, we capture the reality of how women—especially mothers—navigate lives shaped by policies and political decisions.

Accessible Multi-Stakeholder Bottom Up Briefs

We translate household realities and family insights into crisp, data-driven briefs paired with visual storytelling. This makes our data highly actionable not only for policymakers, but also for NGOs, corporate partners, and the communities themselves.

Community Activation & Localized Advocacy

Research shouldn’t sit on a shelf. We close the loop by translating complex policy briefs and recommendations back into relatable community activation and communication materials, such as children’s books and family activities!

Whether you are a donor seeking grounded climate research, an NGO designing localized advocacy campaigns, or a corporate partner looking for deep behavioral data on Indonesian households—co.llaBBB is your research, translation, and community activation partner!
